I love, love, loveeee online grocery shopping. I mean, seriously. What could be better than getting the food you want delivered to your door?
I enjoy grocery shopping. Once upon a time I used to stroll the aisles leisurely looking at new products, reading ingredient labels and taking in the sights. That is no longer my shopping experience. I have two young kids and now I have to make things quick even if I get a chance to shop without them. I love being able to grocery shop online and look at all the things and read reviews. It is fun for me, ahhh the little things.
I have yet to try one of those services that actually does a whole grocery shop for you, but I have long been a fan of sites like Vitacost, iHerb, and the all powerful Amazon. Just recently I discovered Thrive and I am fan. They have natural, specialty items at wholesale prices.
With as much as I love online grocery shopping, I love a deal even more. I used to be a couponer and only buy sale items. I have come a long way from those days but nothing stirs me inside quite like a deal!
I’ve compared Thrives prices to the prices I can get out our local grocery store’s natural section and to my favorite low priced natural grocery store, Natural Grocers. Occasionally Natural Grocer’s is still cheaper if there is a sale or a coupon but mostly Thrive matches or beats their prices and the local grocery store. Shipping is free on orders over $49,add that to the fact that you can almost always get a free gift if your order is over $59 and I’m sold!
The catch is you have to become a member. Membership is $59.95 a month, which comes out to about $5 per month. If a membership is worth it is going to be a case by case basis. I decided that is was worth it for our family for multiple reasons.
One of the reasons I decided that I have no problem paying for membership is the Thrive Gives program. This is a program Thrive started to make healthy eating more accessible. For every paid membership Thrive donates a membership to a family in need.
