Pesto doesn’t have to be a thing of the past for us dairy free folks. This walnut pesto whips up in a snap and is delicious in a variety of dishes.
Dairy Free Walnut Pesto
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup walnuts
1-2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
3 Tblsp. Nutritional Yeast (optional but this gives it a cheesy taste)
Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender or food processor until smooth. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. Enjoy! ♥
